Baby E’s parents are very private so I am only sharing a only a couple of photos from Baby E’s 6-month shoot. I just couldn’t resist – she is so adorable!
For the fourth year in a row, I had the pleasure of photographing the Hsiao Family last weekend. Even with the cold and drizzle, the kids were great! And so were mom and dad. We even hiked down to the beach for a few shots before it started raining. It was definitely worth it. Such troopers! The Hsiao’s will be using these photos for their Christmas cards once again.
It’s not too late to get your holiday photos taken! We just need to do them by next week at the latest. We can turn them around in 24 hours so you can order cards right away. It’s rushed but totally worth it!

Melinda is a hot mama! I still can’t believe that Melinda has a 2 year old son and she looks this hot. OK enough – I’m sure I’m embarassing you Melinda! I had so much fun ‘shooting’ Melinda in downtown Covina for new headshots. Thanks to her friend Alice also for lending a supportive hand to her and to me! Alice has some really great ideas for posing and made Melinda feel so at ease. Doesn’t she looks like a pro?

We’ve known Eric since he was at the young age of 10. His mom used to work for my brother. It’s amazing how he’s all grown up. Here are some shots we took around downtown LA (Hotel Alexander and LA River). Hotel Alexander used to be a hotel back in the day where Hollywood legends like Clark Gable and Greta Garbo used to stay. Now it’s been renovated into low income housing. It’s a little spooky but totally worth it!

Right after their wedding shower, we continued the festivities with an engagement shoot. The pair was exhausted after such an eventful day but got right back into it when we started the engagement session at Hotel Maya in Long Beach. Don’t they look great?!
I love the one below. Mitch, Gene’s best man, hung around for moral support. Obviously, he wasn’t doing a very good job!

Had the pleasure of meeting up with Kali Alexander for another yoga shoot at Kenneth Hahn Park. We found a wonderful and serene Lotus Garden there that was perfect for her Lotus on the Nile studio in Leimert Park. Kenneth Hahn Park is really a hidden gem in the middle of LA!

It was a beautiful day in Long Beach at Carol & Gene’s wedding shower last weekend. Held at (one of my favorite hotels!) Latin-inspired Hotel Maya, the shower was one of the cutest I’ve ever been to since Carol’s cousin, Eileen, put so much hard work into it. I loved all the little details she did – from making Carol & Gene into South Park characters as cupcake toppers to their signature drink at the bar “Mint to be Mojito” and personalized coasters with their picture.

I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Jazmine’s baby girl, Erial, who is just barely 3 weeks old! Jazmine was a good sport about the different places and positions I wanted to place Erial in. I promised her (and Erial) that it would be worth it! Here’s a sneak peak.

Ever feel like you’re stuck in a creative rut? Ever feel like your digital photos lack…that certain something? Me too! Don’t get me wrong, digital cameras are great. I love my Nikon dSLR. It gives me instant gratification, lets me know when something isn’t right and gives me a chance to shoot it over right then and there.
But I also love film. I started out shooting film and I miss the softness of the images I get with film, the softness that I get with my digital images only after spending hours in front of my computer. That’s why I love my $20 Holga. It’s far from perfect; there are light leaks in almost every frame no matter how much gaffer tape I used on the inside to plug up the tiny holes. Then I use more tape on the outside to ensure the cover stays secure. For all its faults, it has never failed to produce images that bring me back to the moment I press the shutter. Images that are otherworldly in its imperfection.

Love the virgin white leather cover on Claudia+Mynor’s wedding album (so pure!) but I was afraid to touch it. I didn’t want to get any dirty fingerprints on it. I also ordered a mini version in the red linen cover. It’s called Little Kisses – so cute. This mini album was an exact replica of the big album! It’s great if you want to share your wedding album with coworkers or friends, and you can bring it with you where ever you go! Plus, the albums come with a cute cover to protect your cover.
We also wanted to let everyone know that we can make wedding albums with linen covers too – not just leather. A linen cover is more cost effective than a leather album if you are on a tight budget.
